About
The ME10 Gateway Kit is a complete HDMI 2.0 media gateway built on the Macnica ME10. The ME10 is a system-on-chip designed for IPMX endpoints, and it carries this product's media and control path: JPEG XS encode and decode, ST 2110 packetization and timing, and the NMOS IS-04, IS-05 and IS-11 control layer.
A single unit configures as a sender or a receiver. It handles HDMI 2.0 in or out at up to 4K60p, RGB and YUV 4:4:4 at 8-bit and 10-bit, with JPEG XS compression from intoPIX at sub-frame latency. HDCP 2.3 with HKEP passes protected sources end to end. Up to eight audio channels are carried embedded in HDMI, with unbalanced analog stereo line input and output on 3.5 mm connectors. The unit connects over gigabit Ethernet and is powered by PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) or a 12 V DC supply, drawing less than 15 W.
Macnica supplies the ME10 to manufacturers building their own IPMX products, and the ME10 Gateway Kit is the reference design those products start from. Manufacturers can evaluate the Kit, adapt the design to their own enclosure and I/O, and carry it to production with support from Macnica's engineering team.
